I am no kind of an expert on the AYA guns.
But I do have a catalog from Precision Sports that was postmarked in June, 1983, that shows the AYA Model 117. It was priced at $1,650.00 back then. A notch below that, the Model 116 was apparently their least expensive sidelock, at $1,125.00.
The only difference that I can see is that the 116 had extractors, while the 117 was an ejector gun.
BTW - The Model Number 1 was $4895.00 back then, in 12 & 20 bore. And the top-of-the line S x S was the Senior (in 12 bore only), at $12,995.
Or so my catalog says.
