As I recall, O'Connor's Enfield .416 was stocked straight, no Monte Carlo, thick through the grip and forend, of very plain looking straight grained English Walnut. Biesen scoped it in a low power Weaver K model, maybe even a K1. I don't know what mount he used. It was and probably is a great looking rifle that exudes "business". If someone comes up with the original article, we'll see how good my 45 year memory is. Roger Biesen probably still has pictures of the rifle in his files.
