I am looking for a slip on leather recoil pad and barrel guard for my 16 gauge Dickinson. Any suggestions? Thanks...

Better get some air; these shotguns are a best buy, IMHO....
Turkey has become the breadbasket for modern shotgun production. Some I've seen were very nice. And the low price was equally shocking. Still, not much snob appeal, I'll grant...
(Have I just hijacked my own thread? Maybe I need air too)

Pachmayr makes a nice leather slip-on pad.

Look at the Kick-Killer leather pads. I have 5 or 6 on various doubles to add length. Very well made and very reasonable, through Cabela's, $34.99 I believe.

I've used them for many years and never worn one out.

Galco pads are amongst the best. I have half dozen in different sizes and love them. Made from high quality oiled leather. Great benefits of using a removable pad are instant change of LOP and they offer about 30% more surface area against your shoulder. Sure reduces felt recoil. Yes, they change the balance point a little but I never notice it. I use them mostly for clays but seldom in the field where I typically prefer a shorter LOP with the heavier clothing I normally have on.

I use the Pachmayr small size and have for many years.....I have several and use the small size on rifles and shotguns, including Sharps and 1886 Winchesters. They do not move around and protect the butt plate/wood from scratches. They can be easily adjusted for any length of pull the shooter desires. Light weight quality leather that does not scratch the wood finish.

Also a good place to keep your hunting license in the field.

Best part is they can be removed whenever you want and always before storage of the gun.
