The owner found these three photos of the barrel muzzles. He attempted to take the photos at the same distance, to give perspective and show the different bore sizes.

Still don't have the gun in hand, so no more information at this time.

Think what that gun would be worth if it was a high grade gun in good condition. It has some interest and could be restored to good condition with a significant outlay of money. But a high grade would have a pathway beaten to the seller door. If a G grade, in that condition is worth a (few) hundreds is that "set" worth much more than two or three times as much?

I assume it is a 10-12-16 or perhaps a 12-16-20 if lucky. Seller will find out what the market will bear soon enough and perhaps it will not show up as some upgraded high gun in about two years. Funny how guns get higher in grade sometimes.

It may only be a worn G grade, but I'm sure there will be plenty of suitors given its versatility. I sure wouldn't kick it out of my gun cabinet for eating crackers.

Any resolution on this interesting gun? What gauge(s) did the barrels turn out to be? Did gun ever hit the market?

al,

I did have a chance to examine the Lefever. The barrel sets are all 12 ga. Barrel set 19537 measures .698 at the muzzles of both tubes. Set 32665 are .708 at both muzzles. Set 31263 are .720 at both muzzles. So I'm guessing that the original owner wanted sets with modified and cylinder chokes, to go with the original full choke set.

I attempted to take some more photos of it, but the lighting was not good and the pictures are not much better than those already posted. Though, I do have some shots of the gun from different angles.

The gun is available for purchase. Anyone interested can PM or email me for the current owner's contact information.
