Purchased this shotgun awhile back and it arrived with the stem broken off and missing on one ejector. Sent it to the smith who repaired the stem but could not make that side eject. It will come out slightly as an extractor but will not send the shell flying. The other side works well. Any suggestions?

Check the mainspring for that barrel. When you fire the gun the mainspring trips the ejector lock in the forearm.

Yep, the ones that work the hammer/firing pin. If you look at your forend you will see how the mainspring trips the ejector lock in the forend. These mainsprings have to be the correct length. If the mainspring on the offending barrel was replaced, perhaps the gunsmith didn't check the length and fit as necessary.

If the main spring trips the ejectors on the 1894 then they changed it for the 1900 to in the fore iron.

But, something is wrong with my 1900 also. When the barrels are opened all the way the ejectors trip.
