I measured the pin length with the strikers down and they protrude no more than .050. Next I removed the disks to expose the pins. I noticed that the pins were irregularly shaped at the tips so I am carefully rounding them being careful not to shorten them. Next Ill polish them and reinsert them into the action and go for a test fire.
I cannot tell which Winchester primers were the harder or softer. Either way there was a significant difference in the ease of opening the gun!
