I would guess that bolt guns made by individuals or small companies are the root of the question. Maybe not. My vote is for a classic Springfield made by a top individual maker, and engraved by Rudolph Kornbrath. A friend has a Neidner Mauser target/sporter engraved by Kornbrath. I haven't seen in for a few years, but it would qualify as "pretty hard to find". Other than my Oberlies guns, it is about the nicest rifle I have seen. The weak point in Oberlies rifles is that so few are engraved.
