Looking to locate some old english shotguns, not overly sure where to start looking? I am trying to locate four or five particular shotguns to replace shotguns stolen from my fathers collection, all i really have to go off is serial numbers and makers and rough descriptions any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. The first one I'm looking for (which in my eyes is the one I want the most) is a Charles Boswell 12 Gauge sxs with makers address of 126 Strand it had a dolls head tang as opposed to the Greener style cross-bolt the serial number of my fathers gun was 12600. The second was a WW Greener Empire model S/N 78570 12 Gauge sxs. The third being a Hollis 16 Gauge single Barrel with S/N75678 ( this one is proving to b quite difficult to find any history or information on) And the last one is a Belgium Liege 16 Gauge Double Barrel Hammer gun with S/N873 Any one who can help out with any information on how to identify these guns models or history,s or where i might b able to find guns of these class would greatly appreciated even just a way of fairly closely dating them would even be of considerable help as i am fairly new to the shotgun scene

all of these types of gun has been advertised on gunbroker and gunsamerica, from time to time...plus, gunsamerica has a wish list feature, where they will send you an email when certain classes of items are listed for sale... a google search may also reveal private web sites where one or more of these types of guns may be for sale. good luck in your quest.
keep it simple and keep it safe...

Kirby Hoyt at Vintagedoubles.com has a Boswell HG that might work for you. Has a Greener cross bolt.Serial # in the 128** range
Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought stupid, than open it and confirm.

Can we assume you're from New Zealand or Australia? There are dealers there you should be talking to
