That is a beautiful rifle in any league, but going to pick on it. Sure looks like a Maple stock, very close grain for walnut which would be expected on English. Inletting is excellent but not superb as usually seen on high quality English firearms. Could this be an excellent American re-stock of an English rifle? Expect to be refuted, but a really fine rifle. Really like the finish on the trigger guard.
