It was about 40 years ago but I believe that I used a .250 piece of drill rod polished down to about .240 and long enough to just protrude from the primer loading station with the bottom tool removed. The front of the rod was rounded and slightly tapered for about an 1/8 inch. After polishing the rod was hardened. I was young and broke then so I know the most complex tool involved was a mic. and a hand drill. To use I placed a deprimed hull on the top priming tool, held the rod under the primer pocket and pulled the 600 JR's handle down far enough to clear the base wad.
