I have been looking for some place to retire out of the rain and fog. Retirement areas in Arizona and Texas seem to be only golf courses with "shopping" close by. Does any one have any information on this subject? Is there anything in New Mexico? Colorado? Florida? JAS
Currently own two Morgan cars. Starting on Black Powder hunting to advoid the mob of riflemen.

There is a new Del Webb retirement community going in accross the highway from the Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club (trap, skeet, and 5-stand). It is a few miles northwest of Waxhaw, NC. Charlotte is home the the Carolinas Vintagers, also.

The drawback to having lived all my life in South Georgia is that there seems to be nowhere better to look forward to retiring. Guess I'll have to just stay home and keep enjoying the beautiful weather, abundant fishing and hunting, modest cost of living, and the pleasure of plenty of family close by...Geo

I was going to disagree with the statement above regarding Arizona but we already have too many people here. Jim

Arizona is terrible you won't like it here. About 50 per cent of the land is public property so it lacks the familiar no hunting signs Easterners seem so fond of. Hotter than old Ed's case coloring torch in the summer which begins next week and ends in November. Surely you wouldn't want to be here. Besides, as soon as we get another few hundred thousand illegal aliens we will probably vote to trade the place back to Mexico.
