Hi Guys - its me again...lol

I need to know where I could find a part for my Hartford Arms 12ga double.

I am looking for the front screw for the trigger guard tang that screws into the receiver.

I've tried Numrich (or gunspartcorp.com as they are called now). Is there anyplace else I can look for this part? or at the very least can anyone here tell me the screw size and or TPI (threads per inch) and maybe I can make one? It appears that mine was stripped and only held in via some thread locker. that's not acceptable to me so I need a new one...

Your help in my other post was most helpful and I'm hoping you folks will be able to assist me again!!..(PLEASE?)

Thanks, James

James,

Don't know if you know this, but Hartford Arms guns were produced by Crescent Firearms. Numrich lists the guard screw number as 183530B, but shows it as sold out.

According to my info Crescent was purchased by H D Folsom Arms in 1893, then Folsom was taken over by Savage Arms in 1931.

Maybe this could help you locate the screw you need.

If it is the front trigger guard screw, sometimes it is integral with the guard itself and is only a "half screw" which just takes a half turn to tighten...Geo

Geo. - No this one isnt part of the guard at all...the trigger guard on this one does the 1/2 turn thing on the trigger tang but the screw I need is the one to secure the trigger tang to the receiver...I've posted a pic of the screw I'm referencing (circled in green).

The screw circled in green is called the front "trigger plate screw" - BTW.....has nothing to do with the trigger guard......

Best,
