Dear Mr. Jackson,
Thank you for your inquiry. Please find attached the copies of the so called “gun cards” which runs with the gun during the manufacturing process. You can learn from these cards that serial number 16141 is the basic gun – an O/U Shotgun, model 200E. The serial number 16867 is an interchangeable barrel (O/U Combination) which was manufactured for the basic gun. The card shows that the caliber is 7x57R. That’s why you have to use this caliber, don’t use 7x57! Regarding your second question we can tell you that the size of the chamber is 16/70. So you can shoot normal cartridges of this length, but no magnum cartridges.
You can find the original specification of the gun and its interchangeable barrel on the cards. So you can also find, that the Zeiss scope was mounted during the manufacturing process. There is no instruction for this old scope mount available and we don’t advise to try to adjust the scope by yourself. Please contact a gunsmith for help.
