Given Pilgrim's travails, is it any wonder that no 8 mm cartridge has ever achieved popularity in the USA. Until I got interested in collecting German guns, I wouldn't touch an 8mm chambered gun with a 10 foot pole. Even now I only have one drilling in 8x57JR.

I've read lots of text here and at GGCA about 8x57s and it seems the more I read the less I know. The only thing worse is the 9.3x72 of which there are several varieties.
