The Track of the Wolf 10 ga brass hulls were only insertable half way in my R Jeffery pinfire 10 bore. Of course, I knew that the Brass/Parker shells would need the rim altered if I were to "remake" them for pinfire use.
I tried the Brass/Parker shells in several 10 gauges and found that ------
Schaefer hammer gun chambered the shorter shell, but not the longer
Kennedy, Thomas, W H Baker and Co, L C Smith Maker of the Baker patent, all refused even the short shell.
Later Baker guns, New Baker and B Grade , chambered both lengths.
The Kennedy and Thomas appear to have begun life in England, so that may give credence to being careful with British chambered guns.
