The barrels are each marked with the serial number, the Greener elephant, and a crown over 'BP'. I am assuming this is a Birmingham black powder proof. The lack of any other significant markings tells me that the gun has never been reproofed. Am I correct on this? The barrel hook has been neatly repaired with a dovetailed piece in order to bring the gun back on-face.
