I have a nice pocketwatch that belonged to my great-great grandfather. Still bares the delicate engraving CLD, looks very close to my initials of CCD. The story I was told was that it was a gift from a girlfriend that ended up NOT being his wife. That is why the watch is like new after 110+ years, his wife wouldn't let him carry it. The first time I carried it I hit the corner of a table passing by and broke the crystal. It is repaired and all is well, but I can't bring myself to use it anymore.

Since I started my current job at age 22 I haven't been a day without a wristwatch. My cellphone will never replace it.
