Joe - many thanks for the input - this is a cool looking trap gun and sounds like not many were made. $400 was a lot of money in 1928 too.

The stock on this gun looks to be orignal, but is not what I think of as a Monte Carlo, which typically have flat or forward sloping combs and notch at the top of the butt. I think the cheekpiece and backward sloping comb on this gun would be called a Bavarian type stock/comb?

So would the orignal chamber have been 2.5 inches or was it 2.75 inches, with most of these guns being made for the American trap market? Are there any markings on the barrel flats that indicates this? - sorry, the photo is not the best.
