While USPS is certainly not perfect,and many times the info is not uploaded until the end of day-unlike UPS and FedEx, when the carrier returns to the PO.
If the gun shows it was "delivered" (and by law you should have a signature required)there is indeed a record of where it is! You might well have a reading comprehension problem but USPS tracking is not by any stretch "useless"
