Message from former owner;i really think it came from Montana-for some reason that;s where a lot of old Sharps buffalo rifles ended up I believe that's where the northern herd of bison was killed off..Oh by the way my great grandfather was a buffalo hunter in Texas. He was of those persons who tryed anything to make a living.Was an indian trader,too. You name it, he tried it, after the buffalo were shot out here in TX he opened a Furnature store and undertaking est.Could not make any money at it, i guess the old west was a lot different than the westerns said it was-not enough killings to make a living at it.Perhaps he should have moved to Tomestone,AT?
