I believe the Wikipedia link I posted previously is for Sr.

This would be Littleton Waller Tazewell Waller, Jr

Would be an interesting man to research.

Very brief research he was captain of a USMC shooting team, and also some correspondence with Aldo Leopold about deer population control in Idaho I believe. L.W.T. Waller was an Asst. Director of some department there.

I just checked "Americans and Their Guns" 13 citations so looks like there will be lot of info on Waller.

NRA President 1939-1941.

Maj. L.W.T. Waller is on the cover of the April 1935 American Rifleman.

Big game hunting trip in Canada.

You might have that copy, Michael.

The big question is who made the rifle and right now I'm clueless.

Michael,
Normally, the barrel length should tell you if it is still 30-03.They set the barrels back when they rechambered to 06.The photo, however, looks like the barrel may have been shortened more than the "set back".
Mike
