Here is a Midland Gun Co. Best Boxlock;

Here is a Demon hammer gun. Scroll engraved rather than game scene:

A 20 bore Dreadnought:

A Sudden Death 16 bore:

These are some Midland Guns from my collection. They made guns with their own name and also guns for the trade so similar or identical models can be found bearing various 'Gunmaker's' names. Lagopus.....

Yes Lago', very nice...Got to love the name "Sudden Death" for a gun, eh?
Sounds like one of those new/weird deer hunting shows I see on Direct TV! .Kill it n grill it! (Though I kinda dig uncle Ted)
I remember seeing an article in the DGJ about their range..one was their best sle,the guy who owned it had it in a lovely O&L case with a Purdey label, said he fooled a few folks before they got close enough to read the name on it.
I've had a hankering for GE Lewis duck gun myself...the ones I've seen were lovely BL's.
cheers

Certainly their best sidelock ejector could stand beside anything. They seemed to be able to supply a very comprehensive range. Quite a few of their cartridge brands mirrored the gun names. I did have a hammer gun called 'The Rabbit' but have sold that one on. The Farmer's hammer gun was quite a nice model. They are worth looking out for. Lagopus.....
