OP Idared Sidelock Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 158 Central Washington	I have a question about puting a non military sporter stock on a 1898 Krag. I have heard that the Krag needs a barrel band on the forearm of a sporter stock because of its guard screw arrangement. My question is, should this be a tight fit on the barrel and bedded tightly in the stock or should there be some tolerances of some sort? Many thanks for any help from others on this. The remodelled Springfield is the best and most suitable all 'round rifle. - Seymour Griffin
