To Old Joe:

AS a child, an older chap would take me hunting and fishing etc. He had no fingers on his left hand due to a shotgun mishap. Needless to say, this was a real handicap! Do you really want to take that chance?

To Chuck H. Stop attempting to change my mind by using
facts! It is already made up! Lol

Stay well my friends,

Franchi

Chuck and other supporters thanking you. I am taking barrel today to a Fox man I am friends with to see what he thinks. This is a spare barrel bought at gun show and I want to make 2 barrel set if Fox man wants to fit to my receiver.

Cut the barrels at about 10 inches....fix her butt to a nice base with the barrels pointing to the heavens....run some wiring up through her attach a shade and you'll have a very unique table lamp that even our King Obama will approve.

Sleeve and have done is the right answer where you come from. Sleeving is not as easily available or as cost effective in the US. Most barrels with major defects are just scrapped. Sleeving will cost more than a grand over here and for that much money you can buy another gun, Sterlingworth in this case. If you look at Gunbroker more than a dozen a week could be bought for about $500.00.

All this for a set of scrap barrels, bought at a gun show. First person decided to part out the gun rather than risk it. Second owner is wanting to save them to make a two barrel set. Are you going to keep searching until you get the answer you want to hear or if the next person you ask, the Fox expert, say go no further then you are done. Lot of effort to save a set of barrels that if in good condition would be worth what $200-400 dollars. 12 ga. barrels are easy to find with out having to rescue this set.

You know what, 2-p, I read that 0.915" as 0.815"!! And that , my friends, why it is always advisable to get a second opinion before getting too uppity on your soapbox. And, I didn't even subtract 0.727" from the alledged 0.815" correctly, having gotten 0.094" as opposed to the correct 0.088".

Crow doesn't taste good --- even with some of that fancy furn' deeJohn mouseturd. sick crazy

All said, thanks for checking, 2-p.

I went through this a couple years ago with Keith Kearcher, with a set of Fox barrels. Give him a call and talk with him. He is fast becoming the go-to Fox man for me. I believe you can totally trust what he tells you. His number is 541-617-9299.
