Brian: restoration done wrong will destroy the considerable value of the gun.

Rare like hen's teeth - very nice find. Heed Drew's advice...not proceeding properly will cost you alot of value. I can't wait to hear what the true Parker guys have to say.

Very nice find! And Very rare. It looks to me from the little I see that the wood is nice enough to be refinished for a restoration. Make sure that the correct person is chosen for the barrel and frame restoration on such a gun.

It looks like the wrong person is polishing the barrels, the ends appear to be rounded over. Get it to a pro NOW!

Abrasives are not something that should be used to remove crud, rust or 'patina' from a fine old gun. This should be done with solvents or chemical untrasomic treatments. It is unfortunate that abrasives were used on this gun. It is not too late however, to get this gun into the right hands for a correct and proper reasoration.
