I've not had dealings with him but he writes damn good books and is an authority on British (and no doubt foreign) guns.

I can find the kind of gun people want but I don't track down individual guns. Ask me to find you aPurdey thumb-lever 12-bore and I will. Ask me to find serial number 12345 etc and I'm in the same boat as the rest of you.
