Wilhelm Rempt worked as a blacksmith in the 18th century and expired in 1792 and it appears that he is the line to which Gebrder Rempt is linked. Gebrder Rempt was founded in 1865 at 41 Rimbach Street, Suhl and I'm am not sure how long they occupied that property. Walter Rempt was at the helm at the onset of WWI. In the mid 1930s(1935) the could have been found at 9 Schleusingerstrae employing just a few less than 50 employees. About 2 or 3 years later they acquired additional grounds from their conterminous owner Kreighoff in order to have additional area for supporting the war effort. In 1948 the firm was absorbed.
