I too am ready to take the drilling plunge. I'm looking at a between the wars 16x16x 9.3x65 Collath. No ammo available now, hasn't been made since 1930 according to the european books. It has a tapered case and a small neck indent. I have a detailed measurement drawing and photo of the round from a Spanish source. The bullet is supposed to be .366" diam.I checked with the guy in Alaska about an insert but it can only be done for a conversion to 9.2 makaroff(a pistol round). Can't find any brass. Is this a hopeless exercise? I know nothing about drillings but I'm interested in a deer/grouse tool.
