Yep, my first hammer gun was the mid grade Italia , I think.
12 bore ,28" (+/-) bbls, 7lb 2oz, lovely gun I got for about $800 about 8 years ago...good "modern" hammer gun ,seemed to handle lovely, good for factory loads.
The wood was plain, the engraving wasn't that great, but was a good strong gun that I shot pretty well
Every one who has had one seems to like them...but the prices being asked has gone up some lately, from what I've seen.
Sold it to help buy a much older hammer gun, after the hammer bug bit
They seem to a great gun to test the water about hammer guns
