Some 100 years ago Nowotny of Prague offered his custom made shotgun drilling as a "superior alternative" to Browning Auto-5. He was not the first nor the last. I find the present Chiappa offering quite interesting.

That company doesn't have that great of a rep for quality from what I've read about the little Sharps they make for Lyman.

At the SHOT Show I shouldered one of those and quickly told their representative that the barrels were too thick because it felt like a fence post. I do not think that he appreciated the obvious.

I then complemented him for his company trying something new. If they would lighten the barrels it might just be something good.
