AmarilloMike for President! And I forgot to include that the general sense of humor here doesn't even make it to the scale.
Y'all just take BS, yours in particular, just way too seriously.

And, yes, my guns are the finest of the gunmaker's art and I paid almost $600* for the last one I purchased. So there. Eat yer hearts out.

I find it hard to eat my heart out over a Mossberg even if it was a "bit" over $600.

"...Doubleguns are considered by some the armament of gentlemen..."
If dat be da case, what's a Model 12? The hillbilly's last line of mobile home defense?

(that oughta keep this thread going for six more pages!)
Actually, an unplugged M12 with 6 shots would be perfect for the discriminating, polite gentleman's home defense weapon. It is not just for our hill brethren who have forsworn pumps for English doubles. “Methinks, you sir, are an uninvited guest, a cad and a burglar!” Blam. “More lead, Sir? wiggle if you want more.” Blam. Blam “Your two friends, would they like a serving of lead as well? Grey Lead Poupon?” Blam, Blam. “Forgive me, if I have overlooked anyone else, I have one available. “ | | |

Gil, is that Grey Lead Poupon available as coarse grind (00 buck) or as fine grind (#8)?

Absolutely wonderful! Pump guns are indeed, good for many things.

As for me, I'm drawn to almost any device that is well made and continues to function flawlessly. That a John Blanch double or a well-used M12 has been doing it's job very well and for multiple generations only makes them more treasured in my eyes. New guns can be fabulous as well, but when I walk a grouse trail with a vintage gun, I almost never feel alone.

It is a pretty gun. What are the details (make, gauge, action, etc)?
