Perusing a very rare copy of "The convoluted History of Gunmaking and Other Obscure Studies" it is opined that the O/U was invented by a designer whose wife had a enormous derriere.
Every time he looked at a S/S it reminded him of his wife hence the stacked barrels approach!

Amarillo Mike, I'm glad to hear that Texans are so liberal (please note the small "l"). Always believed my old college mate Joe Winfield who told me that no West Texas flower garden was complete without a full range of dead Sears appliances and at least one dead pickup.... And that West Texans (like him) hated everyone but West Texans. (And they didn't like them much either).

Gunman, I don't have a really good workshop, so I have to make use of the pieces of guns I have around.
