Hi all, well this weekend is the last of the upland bird season for us here in NoDak. Been a good season, but the last couple weeks have been cold. In fact today the wind chill was at around -10 or so. I should have stayed home and pounded away on this keyboard, but good old Wade Burns wanted to go out for one last hunt. So....I got up from the keyboard to join him.

As I said it was cold, but Wade's method of hunting kept me warm and toasty, not to mention saving a lot of leg wok (that snow is deep and hard to get through). Here are a couple of action shots of Wade using his late season method of hunting:

And here are the results of our hunt. Thanks Wade...I must admit I enjoyed our hunt today:

Best!

Greg

Many years ago when I had no job and my wife had left me I used to hang around with a guy in similar circumstances and we would "road hunt" and shoot out of the car in order to eat.I kinda got tired of pheasant for awhile but will always remember the bird I got on the wing shooting a Fox 20 guage sterlingworth out of a '71 Buick.

Well Greg it sure was a great hunting season this year. Today there was some shooting to the east of my place. Me?-->I was in my shop putting a new heater core in the old Ford 4x4. mad I had -21 below wind chill registered this morning on my weather machine. What a stupid time for a freaking heater core to leak.

Practice safe eating. Always use a condiment.
