Yes he was loading federal hulls yes a breach loader damascus WC Scott . If he can load 96 shells that will last me a whole season unless some customer forces me to hunt ducks. That equates to about $200 for 3 1/2 boxes. If you think about it that's cheap what other sport do you get to wake up at 4:00am ride 30 miles put on waders to walk about 5oo yards through" buck shot" If you do not fall in the water you are soaking wet with sweat from carrying decoys. Then you get to hide standing in cold water waiting for daylite only to discover the wind has changed directions and the ducks are landing at the other end of your duck hole and you need to pick up wet decoys and move only to get wet again. Yes I have duck blinds you can ride up to and sit in but It is must not be legal for ducks to park near duck blinds either because they don't a lot of the time.

For anyone that thinks Pyrodex is bad(it's not the best),try some old "Golden Powder". This would improve your opinion of Pyrodex.I'm afraid BP will become harder to get in the next 4 years and we'll need to learn to make substitutes work.

Pyrodex may be hard to ignite with a muzzel loader rifle with the NO# 11 primer but with a shotgun primer I did not notice any hesitation or slow ignition. Neither did the ducks.

You got it, Joel.

I'll post some pics of my .45 cal. buffalo rifles soon as I get a chance to take some. I've still got a few more acres of cotton to pick before I can "play". laugh
