OP Lochlan Sidelock Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 47	I just checked the serial numbers on the Winchester. If it is an actual 54 it was made in 1928, not possible with this type of barrel. If it is a model 70 it is made in 1938. Since the barrel is over stamped 54 over the original 70. Do you think Winchester was using up floor plates for the old 54 run? Maybe this was special ordered this way?
