In looking at a couple of guns, an H and an E it appears the firing pins are bushed with press in, not screw in bushings?

Normal or repairs?

Thanks,
Mark

Here you go. 775's Lefever:

What's rest of the story on it - gauge, etc? Looks like a nice gun. I've been looking for a nice E for a while.

After checking around this seems to be pretty common, guess I just never noticed.

Thanks,

Well 775, you're not alone. After reading this, I checked two H's. Guess I just never noticed either.

Are you sure you are not looking at primer marks on the standing breech ?

Nope, they are bushings inserted from the rear. I had never seen them but when this thread was started I took three of mine apart, two G's and a DS. Under strong magnification I could plainly see them. Live and learn! What I don't understand is why?
