Look for the 310 models, built on a Sauer intercepting sear patent but without the receiver"scallops" (screws top and bottom of receiver )- excellent steel . Very few in this country but fine firearms.
best regards,

Husqvarna is a large Swedish manufacturer. They made firearms for over 100 years. They produced a good quality shotgun that was affordable for the average Swedish hunter. The better grades are hard to come by in this country. They made some very nice engraved sidelocks. You may spend a long time looking. Some have gone to the trouble of importing these guns from Sweden.

There are a few dealers that have a stock of Husqvarna guns.

You can try:
http://www.sarcoinc.com/husqvarnas.html
Make sure you ask a lot of questions. Some of the guns here are in need of a little fixing up. At least that was my experience with them. Although they were very forth coming with information.

Also:

Although their website does not show any at the moment. Give them a call. I have dealt with them and found them to be honest.

Also check on GunsAmerica. There seem to be a number of dealers there with a large supply of Husqvarna shotguns. Be prepared to see a lot of Lefaucheux actions.

A couple of websites with some information.

If you find a gun, get the serial number and go here to date it:

This page is useful for reading Swedish proof marks:

I do not know if they ever produced a rifled sxs. I do know they made some sxs rifles. I have only seen a few of these for sale in this country.

spurgon, I can't tell you about their firearms, but if they are made like their sewing machines, higher end weed trimmers, and their chainsaws, which are the "cadillacs" in the chain saw industry, then I guess the quality would be there in their firearms also.

Stihl has now surpassed Husqvarna in the chainsaw arena.

How can you tell if a Husqvarna chainsaw has been restored? My neighbor has one he claims is all original but some of the plastic-metal fits are a little suspicious, as is the length of the chain bar. I also can't tell if the decals are original or may have been reapplied. He is offering to sell it to me for $200 - is that a good deal?

If the bar has what appears to be torched case coloring, be suspect!
