In my 12 ga. I load 70 grains 3f in plasic hulls, 1 oz of shot with the nitro and cushion wads needed to make a nice crimp. Sometimes it is 1 1/2 cushions etc. to fill the shell.
I use the same load with 11 gauge wads and megtech brass.
I have even used this same load in my modern 20 ga.
I shoot a lot of skeet and once a month or so I need to get my black powder/hammer gun fix.
The boys at the club are used to it by now. It is just for fun but my scores stays about the same.
Since I also shoot muzzle loading skeet, having the nitro and cushion wads on hand is no big deal.
Unfortunately reloading black powder is about twice what smokless costs. It is now over $8.00 a box.
