Mine is a restored 12 gauge Ansley Fox A-Grade SxS. I used it today.

My all around favorite working gun (and favorite gun in general) is a 20 ga Browning Superposed with 28 in barrels ic/m. I have probably killed more birds with this gun than all the others put together. I used to hunt with a 20 ga Franchi AL48 and a 20 ga Browning A-5.....both bird killing machines. But, I got 'civilized' and went to doubles, hence the Superposed. I have more expensive guns I toy with from time to time, mainly SxS's, but I always find myself going back to the Browning Superposed.

1949 Ithaca M37R 16 gauge, 28" modified. In keeping with the forum theme of double guns, the other barrel is attached to my 1959 M37 16 gauge 28" modified. I have 3 other M37s, 2 20 gauge and a 28 gauge. I am always looking for the next.

Early season: 1946 vintage Darne R10 12 gauge, 25" barrels choked slim and none, backbored by some idiot before I got it, restocked to my specs in "Galwi" style by Hervé Bruchet in St. Etienne, while I watched him. Darne sling, helpful for helping elderly friends (K9 and otherwise) out of the woods when they get tired. Been seen so many times here, and once in The Double Gun Journal, that I'll spare everyone seeing it again.
Late season: Beretta Silver Snipe 12 gauge 26" barrels choked modified/improved modified, single non selective trigger, vent rib, crushes pheasants out to distances nobody will believe. My Dad bought it new in 1964, for around $170, and my Mom would be pissed to this day if she had any idea it was that much.
I have a bunch of other guns that get exercised when time permits. Will agree with GLS that three model 37s, or, in my case, a model 17 and two 37s, is about right.

Best,
Ted

Skeet grade Winchester 21 st. grip 28" barrels SkI&SkII that looks like it's been through hell(twice). Just something magic about this old 1937 gun. Pictured is my son on a preserve quail hunt. I never get to use the gun when he's around and always check his truck when he leaves to make sure it's not in his duffle bag.

This is my go-to uplands gun, a 5lb 1once, 16 gauge French guild gun with 27" barrels choked IM/Skeet.

For about the past 20 years it has been one of my Fox Sterlingworth 16 gauge guns. All are stock from the factory dimensions, weigh within ounces of each other, just different barrel lengths and chokes to match the hunting conditions and game hunted/SC course layout.

Everyone please note the preponderance of Fox's throughout this thread,Sterlingworths in particular. This is one double gun that IMO has truly stood the test of time.
