Neither of my Syracuse Lefevers (G & F) has bushed firing pins. Is this a factory feature or an aftermarket one? If the bushed pins are factory, does anyone have any information why that was introduced and why it was discontinued?

The bushings on the 1895 pictured here seem a bit odd. The retaining screw on the one bushing impinges on its screw slot. Seems like the factory would index the slots so they would both have the same orientation. Then again... maybe not.

I was at Cabelas a few months ago and saw the mismatched E grade that was there at that time. I don't remember it being as nice as stated above. But I do remember the stock seemed a bit short. But then again maybe I hadn't enough coffee that morning... Silvers
