The Alyworth brothers in Sagola Township Northern Michigan have done great work on my damascus barrels. Good guys,great gun club too.Stop in for the UP shoot on Fathers' Day and see their work.

I am the grandson of Norman Johnson, who set up Norman Johnson barrel browners after the war, I have seen a lot of damascus browning pictures on here done by you guys and I have to say it is first class,some of the black and white finishes are super too I have never tried to replicate this but would like to give it a go, I have a website but my picture taking is not all that good, its very hard to get the picture to show a true colour, you can look on www.shotgunblackingbrowningandblueing.co.uk also if you look in the latest Greener book centre pages there is several blacks and browns that I have done,( Viking gun,) In the uk there are the Johnsons in London and Stevens and Johnson in Devon.

Johnsons are very good and for a long time produced the best browning around but they also charge you Purdey and Holland money and the turnaround was always long. Paul Stevens does the best browning and blacking work in the UK at the moment.
