I have an RBL 28 that I love to shoot skeet with. It has had two broken parts in the two years I have owned it - have about 2500 rounds through it. It has broken a small spring inside the receiver (not a main spring) and an ejector. Any one else having any trouble with their RBLs or is it just me? How much do you guys shoot your RBLs? I bought this gun to shoot and plan on shooting tens of thousands of rounds through it in my lifetime. Any information would be appreciated.
Regards,
Jeff

I had trouble with my 12ga. right out of the box. The ejector didn't work and the solder at the end of the barrel blew out on the first box of shells.

Jeff - Sorry to hear of your issue's with your RBL 28. I also have a 28 with 11K rounds thru it mostly with sporting clays and 5-stand - No problems what-so-ever. I purchased this gun for the sole purpose of knowing I would be shooting a lot with it. This gun has lived up to its billing at least for me.

A friend with a 12 ga RBL that he uses for trap and sp clays at least once per week has had single trigger problems, fore end cracked, screw back out of fore end latch and latch pop out, one broken ejector where it has tiny thickness underneath the barrels. We figured the other day and he has about 8,000 rounds fired. Everything was fixed free by factory except for the cost of return shipping + insurance.

I've got all four and am eagerly awaiting the .410-bore. I've shot my RBL-28 very little, but the others quite a bit and the RBL-16 many thousand of rounds, mostly at Skeet, but also hunting. It is becoming my go to bird gun. I took a bad fall out in the Channeled Scablands with my RBL-16. I was well cushioned by heavy grass, but the RBL found some scabrock. A couple of gouges up near the head of the stock and some scratches on the barrels. I'm reasonably sure that had I been carrying one of my vintage doubles I'd have had a serious dent.

I have a 16ga, 2 20's and a 28ga. I have shot them a lot with all sorts of loads and, so far, no mechanical problems. The stock on one of my 20's is showing a bit of cheek wear and other seems to need some more oil as well, but those are are more maintainence related issues. IMO they are great modern SxS values.

A Springer Spaniel, a 6# double and a fair day to hunt.
