I have seen some chokes on the net that don't have the notches cut into the muzzle end of them. They use a friction wrench. Does anybody know what brand they are?
Thanks,
Mike

Thank you Stan! So it appears Teague doesn't make a choke for the Briley thin wall series. I failed to mention that that was my interest. Sorry. It only occurred to me that that was what I hoped to find as I was looking at Teague's "brand" selection of chokes - Browning, Beretta, etc...
Looked at Briley's again and couldn't find what I am looking for on their website.

Nigel Teague will make a choke for any gun if asked to do so. He already makes replacement chokes for all the popular brands of guns as aftermarket replacements using their standard threads. If you have your gun 'Teague' choked he uses his own unique screw thread.

Mike,
I'm pretty sure Briley will make you thin walls with no notches and make you a "cone" friction wrench. If they won't supply you a wrench, any machinist can make one for you. Charlie, at Comp-N-Choke, offered to make some for me several years ago, wrench and all.

The RBL uses a notchless system with a tapered conical wrench. Seems to work fine in my RBL 20. I think, however, that it is a good idea to take them in and out occasionally to ensure they don't get frozen in

Salopian thank you. If I can't get it worked out here I will give Teague a call.
Stan thanks again. I will give Briley a call in the morning.

Teague, Truelock, and Kolar all made chokes with a tapered wrench, I am not sure if Kolor still makes them.
