Does anyone recognize the maker of the gun to which these barrels were originally fitted? They were removed from a gun and replacement with steel barrels in about 1950. The barrels are 30 inches long, 12 gauge, with 2 5/8 inch chambers. There is a distinct shoulder, probably the thickness of a paper cartridge, at the end of each chamber, followed by a forcing cone of about 1/4 inch length.

The only markings are a serial number and a "T" on the bottom of the barrel lug and on the right barrel flat. A distinctive feature is the spring loaded "hook", pin hinged to the forward lump, assumed to be a cocking hook.

I thought that I had followed the instructions for including pictures under "FAQ", above. However, it did not work. Since my question is near meaningless without the pictures, if someone replies that will post them, and to whom I can e-mail my photos to, I will do so.

Could these be the Lefever barrels I have been searching for?

Those barrels are for an early Crass Model Ithaca, probably of late 1891 vintage.

I thought maybe, but I get the early ones confused at times.

Thankyou Daryl and Researcher!

Interesting. I thought that they practically had to be from an American gun but never saw one like it mechanically.
