Speaking with my gun dealer here in Tokyo, the gun looks like a Nikko Grandee Custom - a sideplate, not a sidelock. This is Nikko's top model gun. It's a great quality gun.
While this high a level of Nikko is not very common in the US, I would not sell it for less than $1500 - but's it's closer to a $2,500 gun. I have a Winchester 101 Pigeon Grade (that I LOVE) and would trade it for this one in a heart beat (of course, I'd want to shoot it first).
