The other stamps appear to refer to the grade (Silver Medal) and the barrel steel (Crucible Steel) - these seem similar to designations used by Verney-Carron. You might also want to check on this forum dedicated to French and Belgian guns - Gournet Last edited by Doverham; 11/16/12 09:05 AM. Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there.
