Pretty big bores and thin wall thickness for a gun that still has pits. However, it is priced accordingly.

Wade, I own one, less engraving than yours but same barrel length. Shoots superb and one of my favourites. The stock looks very plain, has it been restocked?

Scotts made numerous guns for Hollands based on their "Crystal Cocking indicator "model . Hollands bought out the production tooling and modified the cocking mechanism to push rods rather than the original draw rods , this became the Climax . Later modification to lever cocking limbs and you have the Dominion .Grandson of the original . Very strong action but they did have tendency for the stock to break out along the top strap as there is very little wood there. The gun picture appears to have been restocked . In the last days of Scotts there was an attempt to resurrect the Dominion in 20 bore .Fred Buller of Beesley bought and finished the last of the actions when Hollands abandoned the project .

I agree, the gun has almost certainly been re-stocked. Dominions are good, reliable guns. Engraving runs from none at all to best scroll, full coverage. Enjoy her!

I hope to enjoy her for a good many years. I bought it for a hunting gun and not a collectors piece as I am not a collector. I figured the stock had been replaced due to the plain wood, but since I will be hunting the gun it is fine by me. I got it for a good price and I can always restock it down the road if I want a nicer piece of wood on it. As far as thin barrels, I dont think that they are all that thin for an English gun. If we were talking American guns, yes, but I have a few English guns that have thinner barrels than that which have never been touched. You don't make light weight game guns by putting lead pipes on them .
