Been with this group since 03 and never had a star. No problem, Bought a whole packet of sticky stars at Walmart and now can self indulge in celestial glee.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Randy
When I was about 13 I went to a club function (think regional trap shoot style of function) where the adult leaders of the group wore nametags with stars on them to denote rank, from 1 to 4 little gold stick on stars above the name. A friend and I went to the local 5 & 10 and bought a pack of
large gold stick on stars and put 5 each above our little starless names. We got some strange looks but felt immensely proud for poking fun at the grownups' self importance. Hope the lesson stays with me as long as it can. The greatest men I have known have all had the gift of humility. Despite the tongue in cheek comments in this thread, and on the board in general, I feel the same sentiment among members here, which is why I hang around. Thanks.
