Chuck, I don't have any pictures of it handy. If I dig the gun out in the next few days I will take a pic. As for color it is similar to the early Pythons. The ATF I used was the regular old stuff. Another tip is make sure the hardwood ash is perfectly fine like talcum powder, no little chunks in it. I think the grill is the way to go on this you are trying to achieve 600 degrees, the torch can get places too hot too fast if you don't watch. The grill is a nice even heat. Give it a shot and experiment on a piece it's easy.
