I can remember reading John Ambers articles regarding what a wonderful Gun department Marshall Fields had, right in the loop on State Street, when he ran it in the 50s. I suspect that shoppers would be running for the doors now if someone showed up there with a firearm. It's incredible how much we've lost because we've been brainwashed into believing that "diversity" is a desirable goal and if we could just outlaw firearms everyone would get along and sit around campfires singing Kumbyeya!

Illinois sucks. The governor proposes to tax businesses based on "gross receipts" rather than profits. How many new or struggling companies will that put under? I thought he was a jerk when he yanked manufacturing equipment tax exemption. The guy's a coward - he wants to raise taxes without the voters seeing the damage they cause. The suckers that vote for these people will be wondering where "their jobs" went in a couple of years. People like me will be taking them elsewhere.
